Voltammetric Electrochemical Sensors for Metal Ions, Explosives, and Hydrocarbons in Aqueous and Soil Environments
We are in the process of developing field-portable, hand-held, very inexpensive, voltammetric electrochemical sensors for detection of metal ions (e.g. Cd(II), Cr(III, VI), Pb(II), etc.), explosives and hydrocarbons in aqueous (e.g. groundwater) and soil environments.
These will have ppb- or sub-ppb-level detection, good discrimination between similar analytes and interferents, rapid sampling time, very light weight, small size, flexible, rugged construction, very low power and very low cost (< $5 for the sensor, < $350 for the control and display unit). Sensors will be interfaced to an Android cell phone for networking and broadcast of results, or a stand-alone LCD display. For inquiries and more information, please Contact Us.
